The first Russian aquarium with robotic fish has been installed at the Exhibition of Economic Achievements (VDNKh), as the web portal of the city administration reported on Friday. “The first Russian aquarium with robotic fish has been installed at the pavilion No. 2 “Robostantsiya” (“Robotic Station”) at VDNKh, five mechanical breams are swimming within the aquarium, the shape of the fish is almost identical to real ones. The length of each fish made of plastic amounts to 50 centimeters, which fully corresponds to the size of an adult individual of this species”, as the message says.

As the web portal writes, the bottom of the enormous aquarium with a volume of 3 thousand liters is paved with natural river rocks. In the near future it is planned to plant algae there. The mechanism of each fish includes a special built-in motion sensor which makes it easy to notice and overcome obstacles (algae, stones), as well as not to collide with other fish in the aquarium.
