The Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has signed a decree on the inclusion of a number of shops in the centre of Moscow into the taxfree pilot project. These are the shops on the streets of Bolshaya Dmitrovka, Nikolskaya, New Arbat, Kuznetsky Most, Petrovka, on the Red and Smolensk squares and in other places.

      Taxfree system in a pilot mode has been launched on the territory of Russia from April 10. The citizens of foreign countries that are not members of the Eurasian Economic Union have the right to return VAT. In order to receive a cashback, one has to purchase goods for an amount not less than 10 thousand roubles including tax within one day. To receive a cashback, the goods should be exported through the checkpoints approved by the government. Their list includes one automobile checkpoint in Kaliningrad Oblast, six air checkpoints (three airports in Moscow, one airport in each of the cities: St. Petersburg, Sochi, Vladivostok) and one marine checkpoint (Vladivostok).
