A new look at Isaac Levitan's paintings: piercing landscapes in a dialogue with the Russian art films.
The Jewish Museum and Tolerance Center in Moscow presents an exhibition of the iconic art works by Isaac Levitan. Atmospheric landscapes, praising Russian nature, embark on a dialogue with the films created under the influence of the artist's paintings.
Visitors will see more than 30 paintings by Isaac Levitan from the Tretyakov Gallery, the Russian Museum, the Israel Museum and other cultural institutions, as well as scenes from the films by Sergei Eisenstein, Andrei Tarkovsky, Andrei Konchalovsky, Alexander Sokurov, Andrei Zvyagintsev and other famous Russian film directors.
Levitan’s paintings are integrated into the masterpieces of the Russian cinema.

Open hours: from 12 am to 10 pm on Mon – Thu, Sun and from 10 am to 3 pm on Fri.
