On October 12, the Museum of Moscow will host FUTURUM MOSCOW, an exhibition and presentation of emerging designers, supported by the Russian Fashion Council and the Museum and Exhibition Center Museum of Fashion at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia. Young Moscow designers and brands will present their new collections. The creative concept and designers’ performance will attract thousands of visitors. In March 2018, Futurum Moscow in the Museum of Moscow was attended by 10 thousand people.

      FUTURUM MOSCOW features the following shows: Lumier Garson, Volchok, OTOCYON, HOVANSKIE, Citizen_a, ODOR, Daria Lukash, SETI, MARIA ILIYNISHNA, Factive Face, Alkhanashvili, Be.Li.Ve Studio, DINARA.MURASOVA, NOT TODAY, kruzhok, Svarka, 616. The winner of the joint contest arranged by Futurum Moscow and VK Talents (a talent search program in Vkontakte social network) will present her show, too.

Futurum Moscow will feature an interactive light installation One Crown to Rule Them All from light artist Anna Fobia. The installation illustrates absolute power and various forms of wealth. ARTIS Project was founded by Anastasia Potanina in 2016 to promote contemporary Russian art. Since foundation ARTIS has been the initiator of more than 25 art projects at different Moscow venues.

      The Museum of Moscow was founded in 1896. Today, the Museum is located in Proviantskiye Sklady (Provision Warehouses), an architectural memorial of federal importance. This contemporary museum and exhibition, as well as educational and cultural center is among TOP-5 of most visited museums in Moscow. The Museum is dedicated to the city and its citizens. On the one hand, it preserves memories, and on the other hand, it showcases everything of importance and interest in today’s Moscow. The Museum possesses a collection of over 1 million artifacts, one of the largest in Russia. The Museum of Moscow comprises several affiliates, each of them telling their own story of Moscow: the Moscow Archeology Museum, the Old English Inn, Lefortovo History Museum, Gilyarovsky Center. 

      The Museum of Fashion was founded in Moscow in 2007 as the first Russian museum for research and promotion of history of fashion as of a cultural phenomenon. The collection of this museum has dresses, suits, headwear, accessories and shoes of the late 19th and 20th century, featuring over 2 thousand exhibits from Russia, Western Europe, and the USA, including many works of known and unknown authorship, both mass-market and unique. In particular, there is a gown by Charles Frederick Worth, founder of the Parisian High Fashion Syndicate; a dress from Redfern fashion house, which is believed to be one of the first brands in the field of premium sportswear, and other things made by world-famous brands; the Museum is diligently collecting accessories and clothing of the Soviet period. The exhibition hall of the Museum of Fashion is located in Gostiny Dvor. Lectures, tours, and workshops for children and grown-ups take place in the Museum on a regular basis.

      October 13 - 17, 175 Russian and foreign designers will present their new collections of clothing and accessories during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia.
