Exports in the sphere of services have reached a volume of 30.9 billion dollars in the first half of 2018, showing the highest indicator since 2014. As compared to last year, the exports grew by 14.4%.
The bulk of the exported services traditionally fall to the sphere of exports: tourism, construction and information services. All these spheres jointly account for 59% of total exports.
Besides, a historical trend was disrupted in the first six months of this year: for the first time in the entire history, exports in the high-tech sector exceeded imports. During this period the volume of exports in the field of IT-services has amounted to 2.55 billion dollars, and that of imports - to 2.52 billion dollars.
This is due to the fact that Russian IT companies have begun to promote their services and products abroad in a more active manner, as well as to import substitution.
