The Yandex.Drive service opened the registration of drivers in St. Petersburg, the start of car sharing in the city is scheduled for December 2018, the press service of Yandex reports.

      The car park at the start will consist of 750 new cars including Renault Kaptur, Volkswagen Polo, Skoda Rapid and Audi A3. "St. Petersburg is one of the most promising cities in Russia for the development of car sharing. Residents show great interest in it, and we want to give them more opportunities - for example, to make people able to find a free car anywhere in the city," the head of "Yandex. Drive" Anton Ryazanov says.

      Rent a car in St. Petersburg

      Service rates are calculated taking into account the traffic situation and the demand for cars: in the morning the rent will be cheaper. The cost of a minute of rent will start from five rubles. All tariffs include the cost of gasoline and insurance.

      Yandex.Drive was launched in Moscow in February 2018. During these seven months, drivers made about 4 million trips. Currently about 4,5 thousand cars are in service.
