Rock music hits and original adaptations of rock opera fragments will be performed by organist Maria Blazhevich.
In the mid-1960s, the heyday of rock music, the Hammond organ became especially popular. Lawrence Hammond invented his electromechanical keyboard instrument in 1935. During the war years it was used in military orchestras, and after the war, it was adopted by lots of blues, jazz, and rock bands. Thus, the timbre of the organ has become an integral part of rock music.
This concert in Moscow will feature all-favorite rock hits from The Beatles, The Queen, The Scorpions, Nirvana, Pink Floyd, Rolling Stones, and Nightwish, as well as arrangements and fantasies after famous rock operas.
All the music pieces will be performed by well-known organist Maria Blazhevich.
