The decision to start financing the project was taken on Tuesday in Moscow at a meeting chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister Olga Golodets. The developer of the design and estimate documentation will be determined in a competitive way.  The direct construction of the track is scheduled to begin in 2020.

At present, the land plot for the future cycle path has been allocated and put on cadastral registration.  The width of the bike path will be about 3 meters, the length - 56 km. It will stretch from Zelenogradsk to the border with Lithuania, where the cycle path already exists.
