From November 4 to 25, 2018, the Manege Central Exhibition Hall is displaying “The Treasures of Russian Museums”.
For the first time in the history of this country, such a big number of paintings by world-famous Russian artists from nearly 50 museums have been gathered for a show in one place. The paintings were brought from various regions of Russia: from Vladivostok and Kaliningrad to Khanty-Mansiysk.
The exhibition presents paintings by legendary Russian artists, such as Ivan Aivazovsky, Karl Bryullov, Boris Kustodiev, Vassili Tropinin, Ilya Repin, Valentin Serov, Isaac Levitan, A. Venetsianov, Alexander Deineka, Igor Mashkov, Orest Kiprensky, Kuzma Petrov-Vodkin, and many others.
Most of the works included in the exhibition, have never left the regional museums before. Some of the paintings were restored specifically for the project.
Where: the Manege Central Exhibition Hall at the address 1, Manezhnaya Square, next to metro stations Alexandrovsky Sad, Lenin Library, and Borovitskaya, Moscow.
