More Innovative Trains will Run in Moscow Metro

The number of innovative “Moskva” trains in the Moscow metro will exceed one hundred by the end of the year. Another five new generation “Moskva” trains have also been launched in the Moscow metro: two of them on the Kaluzhsko-Rizhskaya and Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya lines, three trains - on the Filevskaya line.

      According to the calculations of the Mayor’s Office, the number of innovative trains in the Moscow metro will reach 102 by the end of 2018. The first “Moskva” train was launched in 2017 on the busiest metro line - Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya. In May 2018 innovative trains were first introduced on the Kaluzhsko-Rizhskaya line.

      The upgraded trains on the Filevskaya have been operating beginning from July 3. The trains were developed specifically for movement along open sections of the lines; some of the seats in the head cars were turned crosswise, to make it easier for the passengers to look through the windows.
