Kamchatka - the Most Suitable Arctic Region for Tourism Development

More than 71% of Russian travelers called Kamchatka the most suitable Arctic region for tourism development. “According to the survey conducted by the Federal Tourism Agency of Russia together with the “Biletix” Internet service for travelers, the best northern region for tourism is Kamchatka, 71% of respondents voted for it. The second line belongs to Karelia (58%), the third one is occupied by Arkhangelsk Oblast (34%)”, as the message of the Ministry said. According to the survey, 65.6% out of 2.4 thousand respondents said that the Russian Arctic was an attractive area for travel with great tourism potential. The largest number of respondents considered summer the best time to visit the Arctic.

      “The most unfavorable time for planning holidays in the Russian north is autumn, the smallest number of respondents - 11.2% - voted for it”, as the representatives of the Federal Agency for Tourism noted.
