Dismissal of the Romanovs Rehabilitation Claim Recognized Illegitimate

On 7 August the Moscow Municipal Court reversed the judgment of Tverskoy Court that had dismissed the claim of the descendants of the Romanovs dinasty to rehabilitate the tsar Nikolai the Second and his family members, ITAR-TASS informs.

So, the court has upheld the cassation appeal of the representative of the Romanovs family German Lukyanov. The suit will be reconsidered by Tverskoy Court.

We remind that on 26 June Tverskoy Court dismissed the claim of the Romanovs descendants to rehabilitate the last Russian emperor and his family. The issue of the tsar family has been discussed for several years already. Last year princess Maria Vladimirovna residing in Spain addressed the General Prosecutor with the appeal to recognize the shooting of the tsar family a political crime and issue certificates of rehabilitation of the tsar and his family. However the prosecutor found no grounds for rehabilitation.
