A four-meter monument to Confucius will be installed on the territory of the Chinese Park Huamin in the north-east of Moscow. The works on the creation of a Chinese-style landscape park in the north-east of the capital are in full swing. In addition to the traditional elements of the park, a four-meter monument to Confucius will be installed there.
The monument is a hollow metal statue that has been officially donated by the Chinese colleagues. The core of the park will be made up by an artificial pond with ornamental fish: it will be surrounded by four buildings with an area of about 5 thousand square meters, including traditional Eastern courtyards: a house for tea ceremonies, a souvenir shop, a special exhibition hall and a Chinese restaurant.
It is scheduled to open the park for visitors next year. The Chief Architect of Moscow, Sergei Kuznetsov, earlier said that the pride of the park would be Taibu and Lingbi stones that have been shipped to Russia from the fields in Anhui and Shandong provinces for the first time.
