The Largest Ski Base of Kamchatka has been Equipped with Special Artificial Snow System

The largest ski base of Kamchatka has been equipped with special artificial snow system.

      The installation of an artificial snow system has been completed at the largest alpine skiing base in Kamchatka, "Moroznaya", located on the mountain of the same name in the Elizovsky district, the regional ministry of sports reports.

      The system is ready and running in normal mode. It will significantly extend the ski season, up to June, consistently providing the slopes with frosty artificial snow.

      This will not only help to attract not oprofessional athletes to the region, but will also significantly increase the number of tourists - winter sports enthusiasts.

      The actingsports  minister clarified that the artificial snow system consists of 43 mast snow guns. They are capable of producing up to 200 cubic meters of snow per hour. The snow cover of the main slopes of the Elizovsky base “Moroznaya” meets the standards of the International Ski Federation (FIS). Already in the spring of 2019, world-class athletes will be able to test the quality of artificial snow there.
