Russians believe that domestic cheese is worse than imported varieties, judging by taste and quality, however, the production of Russian cheese is important for the country’s economy.
More than 70% of respondents fully or partially agreed with the statement that imported cheese is tastier than Russian; only 15% said that the taste of domestic cheese was better. At the same time 80% of respondents believe that the production of cheese is useful for the country’s economy. Only 5% disagreed with this statement.
73% said they would be ready to buy domestic products if their value was 20% lower than the average price of hard cheese on the market. 46.5% of respondents are ready to buy domestic cheese at an average market price. Less than 25% of respondents are ready to buy Russian cheese if it costs 30% more than the average.
