The tax rate on the property of companies will grow from 1.5% to 2% in Moscow in 2018, as “Izvestia” reports, quoting the words of the city Department of Economic Policy and Development. The Ministry stresses the fact that the tax will reach the level established by the federal law: the level is set at 2%, but regional authorities have the right to determine the tax rate calculated from the cadastral value of the property at their own discretion.
“Moscow legislation did not establish a tax rate for the beginning of 2019, due to this fact, we will use the tax rate applicable at the federal level in the amount of 2%”, the department told. Officials emphasize that the total tax burden on entrepreneurs will be reduced next year, because all movable property will not be taxed in 2019.
