The 4th festival of domestic films 'Moscow Premiere' will be held in the Russian capital from 25 August to 2 September.
The forum is arranged with the support of the Moscow government and the Federal Agency For Culture and Cinematography. People's Artist of the USSR Alexei Batalov is the president of the festival.
The festival will open with Alexander Veledinsky's film Zhivoi (Alive) that was awarded with two prizes at Kinotavr film festival in Sochi and will be demonstrated in Moscow for the first time.
The festival program involves Ostrov (The Island) by Pavel Lungin, Mnogotochie (Ellipsis) by Andrei Eshpai, Chetyre Taksista i Sobaka (Four Taxi Drivers and a Dog) by Fyodor Popov, Mayak (The Lighthouse) by Maria Saakyan, and other movies.
Most notable works of documentary films and animated cartoons also take part in the festival, as well as films for children and youth.
The best film to be chosen by viewers will get the Grand Prix.
