The winter season started at the all-season resort Rosa Khutor in Krasnaya Polyana near Sochi.

      
The main novelty of the upcoming winter season will be a single ski pass, giving the opportunity to ski not only on the Rosa Khutor highway (102 km), but also on the slopes of Alpika and Laura (33 km). 

      The main sporting event of this winter at Rosa Khutor will be the FIS Women's Alpine Ski World Cup Stage, which will take place on March 2-3, 2019. Another FIS event is the traditional snow festival for children and adults. FIS World Snow Day will be held at the resort on January 20th. From January 26 to February 2, the resort will host the Tinkoff Rosa Fest youth festival, and from March 29 to April 7 - the largest Russian sports and music festival New Star Camp.

      Toward the close of the season, the most exciting event is expected at the resort - the BoogelWoogel carnival, when several thousand skating enthusiasts arrange the mass ride  in bathing suits.

      Rosa Khutor is a world-class year-round mountain resort, the largest Olympic venue at the XXII Olympic and XI Paralympic Winter Games of 2014 in Sochi. Located one hour from Adler International Airport. In winter, skiing tracks with a total length of 102 kilometers, 29 lifts are at the disposal of the guests. In summer, hiking and cycling routes along picturesque mountain slopes are in active demand. The resort has 14 hotels of different categories of stars. Since 2013, the resort has been recognized as the best ski resort in Russia according to the World Ski Awards.
