The metro station "Savelovskaya" of the Big Circle Line will open on December 30.
The Savelovskaya station of the Big Circle Line (BCL) of the Moscow Metro is scheduled to open on December 30. Complex tests of the station are fully completed. Now the final run-in is underway. If nothing unexpected happens, the station will open for passengers on December 30.
The construction of the Savelovskaya metro station (former working title - Nizhnyaya Maslovka) began in March 2012. The station, which will be the next one on the BCL after Petrovsky Park, is located under the square of the Savelovsky railway station near the Third Ring Road. It will have two underground vestibules on both sides of Butyrskaya Street, leading to the train station and land transport stops. It will be possible to transfer to the station of the same name of the Serpukhovsko-Timiryazevskaya line.
The launch of the station will improve the transport services of five metropolitan areas, and the passenger traffic of the Savelovskaya transport interchange hub will be about 250 thousand people per day.
The total length of the BCL with 31 stations (17 of them will have connections to other metro lines, two to the ISC and seven to the radial railways) will be about 70 km. The first section of the line from Petrovsky Park to the Business Center opened on February 26 of this year.
