Four specially protected natural territories will be created in Yakutia.
A resolution was adopted on the creation of specially protected natural areas of republican significance - Bachyk, Keteme, Elanka in Khangalassky and Titirikty in the Olekminsky districts of the Republic.
The first geological park "Cambrian" is created in accordance with the law on protected areas on the basis of the conclusion of the Paleontological Institute.
On the territory of Khangalassky, Olekminsky and Aldan uluses there are geological monuments of world rank, classical stratigraphic sections of the lower Cambrian. These sections witness the emergence of biodiversity on the planet. Here, the so-called "Kemri explosion" occurred, resulting in the first arthropods. The cuts need state protection and can be excellent objects for scientific research, as well as the development of ecological tourism.
"Bachyk" is located on an area of 11 hectares, "Elanka" - 10 hectares, "Keteme" - 250 hectares, "Titiriktyakh" - 3 hectares. The project has been coordinated with local governments, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Russian Federation, and has passed the state environmental review and public discussion.
