The Gorky Gorod ski resort, located in Krasnaya Polyana in Sochi, will celebrate the 5th anniversary on January 4, 2019. Concerts of stars and bright light shows are planned.

      "Gorky Gorod" resort celebrates its birthday on January 4. It was opened five years ago, when there was just over a month before the beginning of the 2014 Olympics in Sochi. In honor of this event, a holiday program is planned at the resort with musicians performing, LED and pyrotechnic shows.

      In winter, Gorky Gorod is a modern ski resort where you can go skiing and snowboarding at an altitude of 960 to 2375 m above sea level. About 30 km of ski slopes of various difficulty levels are available for skiing, the season lasts from December to May. At the same time, the resort can accommodate about ten thousand people. In summer you can go mountain biking, go trekking in the mountains or relax at your own beach near the Black Sea. In addition, the resort has a casino, shopping and entertainment centers, a water park with a sandy beach, cafes, bars and restaurants.

      The total area of the resort is 863.7 hectares, it is located in the foothills of the Greater Caucasus Mountain Range at elevations from + 540m to + 2375m above sea level.
