During 2019, 14 more metro stations will be built in Moscow. This was stated by Deputy Mayor of Moscow for urban planning and construction Marat Khusnullin.

      We are talking about eight stations on the Nekrasovskaya line, the Sokolnichesky line from “Salaryevo” to “Stolbovo” and two stations of the Big Metro Ring - “Lefortovo” and “Aviamotornaya”, the head of the Moscow construction complex specified. According to him, about 50 thousand workers, engineers, designers, as well as about 30 tunnel boring machines are involved in the construction of the Moscow metro. Marat Khusnullin added that 2018 was a record year for Moscow in the number of metro stations commissioned. “Such number of sections of lines and stations per year has never been introduced in the entire history of the subway. 33 kilometers of new lines and 17 stations are unprecedented volumes, breaking the record of 1935,” the  deputy mayor says.

      At the beginning of 2019, ten new metro stations will be opened in Moscow. In just five years, Moscow will lay 135 km of lines of the  metro; 58 stations and six depots will be built.
