Russian Circus Won Top Prizes at Monte Carlo Festival

Performers of the Russian circus have become winners of the prestigious Circus Festival in Monte-Carlo. 

Unofficially, the competition has long been considered the circus "Oscar" and is one of the most respected in the world. 

This year, Russia has won two top prizes. The Golden Clown has been taken by the team of the Royal Circus of Gia Eradze, who acted as the director of the opening contest show. 

The Silver Clown goes to a group of acrobats under the leadership of Mikhail Filinov for the Counter Swing turn. 

In addition, Russian circus experts have received eight special prizes. Among other accomplishments, they were awarded for the most beautiful stage costumes.
