Russia ranked 27th in the annual Bloomberg Innovation Index, measuring countries by the level of innovation. During the year, Russia lost two positions in the ranking.
South Korea has traditionally taken the first place in the Bloomberg Innovation Index, it has been at the top of the ranking for the sixth time - with only seven years of observations. The second is Germany, and Finland closes the top three.
The highest growth was demonstrated by Romania, it rose immediately from 35th to 29th. Also this year, the United Arab Emirates, which started from the 46th position, hit the Bloomberg Innovation Index for the first time, while Ukraine and Tunisia dropped out of the top 50.
When compiling the Bloomberg Innovation Index, the states are evaluated according to several dozen criteria, among which are the concentration of high-tech companies, the costs of research and development, patent activity, etc.
