A Day of Folk Crafts   will be held for the first time in the Ryazan Region on February 9, the press service of the regional government reports.

      The festival will be held simultaneously in 29 municipalities of the region on the basis of houses of culture, clubs, museums, libraries, as well as educational institutions. The program of the event will include exhibitions, fairs, art contests, master classes, performances of local historians, concerts and theatrical programs, as well as  film screenings on folk art of the Ryazan region.

      The festival will be held in accordance with the instructions of the Governor of the Ryazan Region Nikolai Lyubimov in order to popularize crafts as an important part of the national culture.
