Bach and Jazz: Organ and Saxophone - Concert for St. Valentine’s Day in Moscow

Invite your loved one for a romantic evening at the cathedral with organ and saxophone, classics and jazz.

The unique project will be performed by famous Russian musicians Alexey Kruglov and Igor Goldenberg. At the concert, the presentation of their album “Baroque Art. Contemporary Harmony” will take place.

Bach's music - from two-part inventions to the St. Matthew Passion and the famous Toccata and Fugue in D minor - will sound as a duet of organ and saxophone and become the theme for jazz improvisations.

To top it all, the famous solo organ concerto, composed by Bach after the Vivaldi violin concerto, will be performed, as well as the most favorite organ choral preludes. The biggest surprise will be jazz improvisation on the themes of the famous Toccata and Fugue in D minor.

When: from 9 pm to 10:20 pm on February 14, 2019.

Where: Sts. Peter and Paul Cathedral at the address 7/10, Bldg. 10, Starosadsky Lane, next to metro station Kitai Gorod, Moscow.
