Rosstat published information about the share of the small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) in Russia, RBC reports.
According to data for 2017, the share of SMEs in the economy is 21.9%. In monetary terms, the share of small and medium businesses amounted to more than 20 trillion rubles. Data for 2018 has not been calculated yet.
Recall that in 2018, Russian President set a goal to increase the share of the SME sector in the country's GDP to 40% by 2025; at the same time, the number of people employed in the sector should grow from 19 to 25 million.
