The Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts is going to tell about the cultural interaction of the East and West.
The artworks of various countries will be displayed in the seven halls of the museum. Most of them were created in the 17th -20th centuries.
One of the exposition parts is dedicated to Islamic art and its influence on the minds and works of European artists. One more section highlights the essence of the cultural relationship between Georgia and Iran.
"Persia in Films" is the name of the hall that the historian N. Kleiman worked on. Here the visitors will see Sergei Eisenstein's drawings never exhibited before. Besides, the exhibition will acquaint with the masterpieces by Henri Matisse and Pablo Picasso, as well as fragments of Assar Tabrizi's manuscript and the Persian fabrics of the 16th century. Jugs, bowls, and plates of the 12th -13th centuries are not less interesting.
