The film epic War and Peace directed by Sergei Bondarchuk after the famous novel by Leo Tolstoy will be demonstrated at the Lincoln Center this week.

The New York Times reported on Monday with reference to Professor Denise Youngblood, the author of “War and Peace, Bondarchuk: From Literary Classics to Soviet Epos”, the restored film is considered one of the most important cinema creations of the Soviet era.
