Bauman Moscow State Technical University is Developing a Suborbital Spacecraft for Space Tourists

Bauman Moscow State Technical University is developing a suborbital spacecraft for space tourists, according to the theses of one of the reports prepared for the Korolev’s readings.

      “The Bauman Moscow State Technical University has been carried out works on designing a suborbital winged apparatus for several years”, according to the theses. As the document says, the apparatus is designed for space tourism. It will be made according to the aircraft scheme with a high position of atriangular wing with a positive sweepback. It is also noted that the device will be reusable.

      The plans of the MSTU named after Bauman to create a suborbital tourist spacecraft were announced back in 2009. According to the vice-rector of the university, it was planned to call the spaceship “Oduvanchik” (“Dandelion”).
