The Artstory Gallery presents an exhibition of paintings, drawings, and sculptures, which are united by the theme of dreams.
Covering the period from the 1970s to the present day, the exposition draws the viewer into paradoxical spaces, born by the author's fantasy.
Artists of different epochs differently conveyed the images of realms born by the human subconscious. Thus, the dreams of nonconformists Sergey Alferov, Oleg Lang and Bob Koshelokhov are filled with abstractions, and living things are equated with geometric figures here.
The situation is quite different in the artworks by Lucy Voronova, Andrei Karpov, Vladimir Lyubarov and Leonid Purygin: their realms are inhabited by very specific people and animals. In these paintings, a reference is made to folk tales and modern folklore.
The exhibition brings together works by over 50 artists, including those from several private and gallery collections.
