A new “Zigalga” National Park will open in Chelyabinsk Oblast.

      Chelyabinsk Oblast is completing preparations for the creation of a new “Zigalga” National Park covering an area of 45 thousand hectares. “Taganai” is as a designer of a new national park on the territory of Katav-Ivanovsky district. It will be located between the South Ural Nature Reserve, the “Zyuratkul” National Park and the “Iremel” Natural Park in the Republic of Bashkortostan.

      Currently this project is being finalized and boundaries are being marked. A part of its territory is pretty close to the settlements, its residents will be able to conduct permitted logging here, pick berries and mushrooms for their needs – just like before, and they will also freely visit the territory of the national park. It is also planned to develop a special tourist route through the protected area.
