Stay in a Chum and Ride Deers in Yamal

In March, Yamal will launch tours with an overnight stay in a chum (deer hide tent) and deer rides for the first time.

The authorities of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District and representatives of the tourist industry have developed the first package tour from Kazan: during the travel tourists can cross the Arctic Circle, live in a chum and enjoy deer riding.

Tourists will fly from Kazan to Salekhard by a direct regular flight, but at special prices. The tour titled “Yamal. The Land of a Thousand Deer” is meant for four days. The program includes excursions around Salekhard, overnight stays in a hotel and a real chum, a breakfast and a lunch prepared by the residents of tundra, as well as a trip to a huge herd of reindeer. Tourists will travel by shuttle buses, snowmobiles and reindeer.

The cost of a tour will make up 19.9 thousand roubles.
