The millionth ski pass was sold at the “Arkhyz” ski resort in Karachay-Cherkessia: the milestone was surpassed during the 5 years of the resort’s operation: it was opened in December 2013. The tourist flow to the resort is constantly growing. Thus, the number of tourists increased by more than 30% in the first two months of 2019, as compared to the same period of last year. In 2018, the tourist flow to “Arkhyz” amounted to 287 thousand people, which is 18% more than a year earlier. The increase in demand for “Arkhyz” is associated with the opening of new infrastructure facilities: a five-star hotel, “Severnoye Siyaniye” cableway and trails.
