Visiting the Russian Arctic is Getting Easier

The State Duma has adopted amendments simplifying the visits of foreigners to the Russian Arctic. The bill entitles the Russian government to approve a list of ports or points where foreign tourist ships will be allowed to embark passengers and disembark them.

During the meeting of the State Duma, one of the authors of the bill, the Chairman of the Security and Anti-corruption Committee Vasilii Piskarev stressed the fact that its adoption will contribute to the development of the tourism potential of the region.

When it comes to Arctic cruises, first of all we are speaking about the routes to the North Pole with a visit of the territory of the “Russian Arctic” National Park.
