According to the data of the Federal State Statistics Service, the share of unprofitable organizations in the Russian Federation increased by 0.7% in January 2019 and reached the record indicator of 35.8%.
The net financial result (profit minus loss) of organizations in current prices amounted to 1 trillion 264.5 billion roubles for the reporting month, versus 1 trillion 13.9 billion roubles in 2018. Meanwhile, small businesses continue to stagnate in the Russian Federation, and the number of small and medium-sized companies is declining at a rate of 6-7% per year.
At the same time, the formal annual growth in the number of organizations (plus 0.03% - up to 6.04 million organizations) of small and medium-sized businesses recorded by the Federal Tax Service of the Russian Federation on January 10, 2019 was provided by an increase in the number of micro-enterprises employing up to 15 people each. They account for 95.5% of the register of small and medium-sized companies.
