The Level of Competition in Russia Increased for the First Time during Four Years

According to a study by the Analytical Centre under the Government (AC), the level of competition in Russia increased for the first time during four years, according to entrepreneurs: in 2019, 51% of the study participants rated the degree of competition as high or very high.

      In 2015, this figure was 53%, then it began to gradually decline to 46% in 2018. The share of people talking about weak competition or its absence decreased to 22% (27% in 2018). More often than not, businesspeople working in the field of sports, leisure and entertainment, culture, food industry, and so on speak of strong competition. Representatives of the fuel and energy complex, enterprises producing and distributing gas, water, electricity, etc., refer to weak competition. The percentage of entrepreneurs noticing growth in the number of competitors decreased slightly over the year: from 48% to 47%.
