Learn more about music traditions of India and enjoy fusion ethnicity as performed by Russians in Moscow on May 4.
At the festival, visitors will get acquainted with the musical tradition of Qawwali, a genre created with a combination of three cultures: India, Arab countries and Persia. Especially popular in Northern India, Qawwali is characterized with a dynamic rhythm and Sufi poetry.
You will also learn more about the raga music style. Indian dance fans will see the traditional Kathak, one of the eight major forms of Indian classical dance.
In addition to that, classical European music will be played on ancient Indian instruments.
All the sets will be performed by the musicians and dancers of the Kailash band from Russia.
