Ten concerts featuring musicians from Russia and Austria will be held during the festival “Choral Vienna” to open on April 30.
The concerts will take place in Orthodox and Catholic cathedrals, as well as in one of the central squares of the Austrian capital city. Admission to all the concerts is free, the website of the Russian Embassy in Austria informs.
The festival will open on April 30 with a concert in St. Peter’s Cathedral, at which the “Contrast” Choir of the Moscow Pedagogical University and the Youth Choir “MeloSol” from the Vienna will perform.
From May 1 to May 5, the Academic Choir of the Moscow State University and the Perm choir “April” will perform in the same church, as well as the St. Nicholas Cathedral.
Two concerts within the festival will be dedicated to the celebration of the Victory Day. They will be held on the Schwarzenbergplatz Square in Vienna on May 5 and 9.
