The Turetsky Choir from Russia gave the Victory Songs concert in Prague, the city where the Red Army had finally defeated the troops of Nazi Germany.
The Russian musicians performed in Hradchanskaya Square, located in the historic center of the city. Czech President Milos Zeman himself took patronage of the memory tribute concert.
The program included legendary Russian songs of the war years, as well as songs in French and Italian, classics, the Queen and ABBA hits, Russian folk songs, and even opera compositions.
Mikhail Turetsky believes that people all over the world can relate to this music and thus it unites them.
The Songs of Victory marathon was launched in Rome on May 1, 2019. More than ten concerts are scheduled in the capitals of the USA, China, Poland, Hungary and other countries in May.
