The 2nd International Festival of Orthodox Culture and Folk Art "Traditions of Holy Russia" was held in the Oryol Region. It was hosted by the Vyatka Posad Spiritual and Orthodox Center.
From May 10 to 12, 2019, the Oryol Region received guests from various regions of Russia, as well as Belarus, Greece, Ukraine, Serbia, and Moldova. Among the participants there were masters of folk arts and crafts, choreographic and music groups, culture researchers and scientists, representatives of Orthodox Christian schools, children's educational institutions, and others.
The festival kicked off with a conference dedicated to the preservation of cultural and historical heritage. It was followed with worship services, an exhibition of designer arts and crafts, and music concerts.
Visitors were offered traditional Russian dishes and folk arts and crafts. The Patriarch Choir of Christ the Savior Cathedral, rightly considered one of the best Orthodox church choirs, performed for the audience.
The festival was crowned with a Divine Liturgy and a thanksgiving service in the open air.
