Cruise Season Opened in Kamchatka

About 20 cruise liners will go to Kamchatka this year.

The cruise season in Kamchatka opened in May 2019; this year ships will enter the port of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky at least 18 times, according to the schedule. The cruise season on Kamchatka was  opened by the “Celebrity Millennium” liner which  carried over 2 thousand foreign tourists to the peninsula.

The representatives of the countries of the Asia-Pacific region are thinking about the possibility of including Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky in their future cruise programs. It is planned that within the framework of one of such programs the “Asuka 2” liner (under the flag of Japan) will visit Kamchatka in July. The length of the vessel exceeds 240 meters, its passenger capacity makes up 872 people. According to the press service, the largest cruise ship that will visit the peninsula this season will be the “NorwegianJewel” liner with a length of 294.1 meters, with a passenger capacity of 2,676 people.

This year the cruise season in Kamchatka will end in October.
