The Moscow Vakhtangov Drama Theater will give eight performances of The Masquerade play in the cities of Canada and America.

      The tour is going to start in Toronto on June 9 and continue in New York and Boston. The Vakhtangov Theater will take part in two prestigious festivals and play on legendary stages.

       The Masquerade after the same-name play by Mikhail Lermontov has already been shown in a number of countries around the world and won a number of prestigious theatrical awards. Its stage director is Rimas Tuminas, the art director of the Vakhtangov Theater.

      The Masquerade will be shown twice at the Luminato Arts Festival in Toronto, Canada’s largest theater festival.

      In the USA, the Moscow theater will take part in the Cherry Orchard Festival in New York. The Vakhtangov Theater will play The Masquerade four times on the stage of the famous New York City-Center, and twice in Boston.
