A Memorial Sign for the 2018 FIFA World Cup will be Installed in Moscow

The Committee on Monumental Art under the Moscow City Duma supported the installation of a memorial sign for the 2018 FIFA World Cup. “The draft resolution proposes to add a list of proposals for the construction of the works of monumental and decorative art of city value with a paragraph containing a proposal on installation of a memorial sign dedicated to the FIFA World Cup 2018. The Commission recommends that the Moscow City Duma should adopt the draft resolution in first reading in the absence of any general amendments”, as the Chairman of the Committee, the deputy of the Moscow City Duma Evgeny Gerasimov, said.

      According to him, a memorial sign dedicated to the World Cup held in Russia will be installed in 2019, in the centre of the capital on Nikolskaya Street that has become an informal gathering centre for fans.
