In early July, St. Petersburg museums and libraries will unite to celebrate the jubilee 10th Festival of Fyodor Dostoevsky.
On July 5, the most famous characters from the novels by Dostoevsky will come alive and the themed FMD Concert will take place in the Friendship Garden (Sad Druzhby).
The most interesting events are scheduled for July 6 and will unfold in Kuznechny Lane, where the Dostoevsky museum and monument are located. Dostoevsky Carnival held there will feature giant puppets and living sculptures of the book characters created by the famous Russian classic.
No less spectacular will be the Literary Assemblage show. This large-scale stage production, which involves several dozens of actors from different theaters, is dedicated to major figures of world literature.
In addition to it, the festival program includes excursions around the Dostoevsky places, flash mobs, and a flower- laying ceremony at the Dostoevsky monument.
