New Hiking Trails Appeared in Rosa Khutor

Various hiking routes have opened for tourists in the mountains at the “Rosa Khutor” resort in Sochi. The natural park of waterfalls titled “Mendelikha” opened at the resort. Today you can walk along the Small Ring that includes the picturesque Mendelya Waterfall. It is planned to open the routes along the Middle and Big Ring of waterfalls in the near future, then you will be able see six more waterfalls - Chara, Chervonny, Mishkin Grot, Aya, Snezhnoye Ruslo and Zolotoy.

      Moreover, the height of the Zolotoy Waterfall is 77 meters; this waterfall is the highest in the vicinity of Sochi. The “Mendelikha” park of waterfalls is located on the southern slope of the Aibga Ridge, along the eponymous river; it is one of the most popular routes among tourists.

      The park starts from the lower station of the Edelweiss cableway (1470 meters above sea level), then special trails are laid, including those leading to the base of the waterfalls, viewing platforms with railings and photo sites are equipped.

      The length of the route allowing to inspect all the waterfalls makes up 4 km and takes about 4.5 hours. Beginning from June 1, the following routes also opened for tourists at Rosa Khutor: “Lake Traverse” (from the Mountain Olympic Village to the “Volchya Skala” lower station), “Yeti Trail” (from the Yeti Park to the Mountain Olympic Village), “B-One Trail” (from “Besedka” to the Mountain Olympic Village),”The Trail of Champions” (from “Rosa-1600” to Yeti Park)”, as the message emphasizes.
