Sheremetyevo will Accept Electronic Boarding Passes on International Flights

Moscow's Sheremetyevo Airport has prepared an infrastructure for serving passengers with electronic boarding passes on international flights, the airport’s press service reports.

The electronic boarding pass is issued simultaneously with the registration for the flight on the airline’s website or via the airline’s mobile application. After registration, a passenger can receive a boarding pass with a barcode on the mobile device. If necessary, it is possible to print an electronic boarding pass on reprint devices at Sheremetyevo Airport.

When passing the border control, the bar code on the coupon is scanned with the help of special equipment in the cabins of passport control, marked with information stands.

In early April, the airport began to accept electronic boarding passes on domestic flights.
