Japan Plans to Simplify the Visa Regime for Entrepreneurs and Students from Russia

Japan plans to simplify the visa regime for entrepreneurs and students from Russia. This was reported by the Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe after a meeting with the Russian President Vladimir Putin.

      “Beginning from September of this year, Japan is planning to simplify the visa regime for Russian businessmen within the framework of an eight-point cooperation plan for further encouraging of bilateral contacts”, Abe stated, stressing that this was “a special measure taken for Russia”.

      The process of obtaining student visas will also be simplified; as the Japanese Prime Minister told; the change will affect the students of 465 Russian universities.
