The 10th festival of Japanese culture will be held in the Arts Square near the Garage Museum in Gorky Park on July 20 and 21.
Here you can attend a cosplay show and a drummers' parade, take part in a tea ceremony, learn calligraphy and ikebana, visit the exhibition The Forthcoming World and the Japanese fair, as well as learn to dance the traditional dance Bon-odori.
J-FEST Summer 2019 will complete the Year of Japan in Russia. In honor of the anniversary, new elements will appear in the festival program. The main one is the big Cosplay Parade. Actors wearing costumes of popular Japanese characters, as well as numerous manga fans will take part in the bright festive parade.
Anime classics will be performed at the Garage Screen summer cinema. A wide range of master classes will introduce visitors to Japanese traditions.
Entrance to the festival is free for all comers.
Where: The J-FEST Summer 2019 will be held at the Art Square of the Garage Museum of Contemporary Art in the Gorky Park at the address 9, Bldg. 32, Krymsky Val Street, next to the metro stations Oktyabrskaya and Park of Culture.
