The most promising category of food to be sold in China is Russian meat. The forecast of KPMG analysts took into account the current manufacturing plans of the entire sector and individual major players. According to analysts’ opinion, meat exports from Russia to China may reach $ 814 million in monetary terms by 2024, but only if China cancels the current limitations on meat supplies.

Now Russia is exporting only chicken meat to China: the imports of pork and meat of cattle are prohibited due to outbreaks of dangerous animal diseases on the territory Russia. Now, only 23 accredited Russian producers can export meat to China, but for the time being we are talking about small batches - 100-200 tons each.
